Positive
Molding

FREMAX Brake pads are manufactured using the same positive molding process utilized by OE manufacturers. Our molding uses high pressure values to compress the friction material and bound it to the backing plate with maximum precision.
During the "Positive Mold" press curing, the pre-mixed ingredients are placed directly inside the cavity of the cure tooling. Full pressure is exerted on each part by a punch. This guarantees full density is reached on every part. The friction material composition is not compromised by the process and can be tailored for the exact characteristics needed on the vehicle.
In the more common "Flash Mold" process, the resin content of the material must be increased to make the material flow. High resin content creates fade. Fade can increase the stopping distance up to 50%. That is the difference between stopping short of the accident or being involved in the accident.

Scorching

Our scorching process heat the pads up to 750 oC in order to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce bedding-in time and initial fading through removing any bonding agents eliminating the need for initial break-in and reducing noise casued by pads glazing. It uses the technical specifications required by the Original Equipment.

PREMIUM SHIM AND PRECISION CUT BACKING PLATES

A metal element covered with a special protective layer on both sides which dampens vibration and prevents noise throughhout the life of the brake pads, ensuring full driving experience.
Our backing plates are made from high strengh steel to perfectly math their O.E. equivalents and powder coated to provide a clean and durable finish that also protected against corrosion.

ASBESTOS AND COPPER FREE

We all have duty to protected the environment, so FREMAX brake pads are made fully of environmentally friendly materials.  Compounds used for their production are asbestos and heavy metal free, and water dispersion adhesives are employed in the prodution process.
